March 10 +/- 3 Weeks @ 82% Confidence

That is how we talk about launch dates in technology -- and while Monday isn't software, the title is "code" (get it?) for finally telling work that we are pregnant. There is a huge punchline to this story, but let me fill you in on the steps first.
  • On Monday morning, I had my weekly 1x1 with Kristy. I spent the first 50 minutes giving updates and status to Kristy on all that is on my plate. Once I got through my list of discussion items, I just blurted out "and finally, I am pregnant." And I couldn't have asked for a better response. Her first comment was "Oh congratulations!!!!! Yay, I am so happy for you." Then we proceeded to talk about how far along I am, how I've been feeling (the headaches finally make sense) and when I am due. She was genuinely happy for me and I was thrilled with the conversation. She asked me if this was public yet, and I basically said "as of now, yes!". After that, I went and told the people that I immediately work with (3 people) the good news. Everyone was really happy for me, and I didn't get a ton of work done that day.
  • On Tuesday, I further went around telling people, but was already surprised that the information was seeping out as people started coming up to me saying "hey - I can't believe I had to hear your news through the grapevine!" How quickly news travels.
  • Wednesday was very much the same thing, telling people the news, celebrating with colleagues, and all in all being less productive than I usually am. It's funny how hungry people are for good and happy news to share. (Side note and later plot detail: we had a media training refresher with the PR team where we had to share where we speak publicly and what we think are our opportunities for improvement. I said that my focus was that sometimes I have heard that I am emotive to the point of distraction, also that I sometimes get too excited, speak to quickly, and forget to breath.)
  • So yesterday.....
Yesterday started the same as Wednesday with telling people I work with slowly and quietly. I was getting water in the afternoon when Peter Karpas (our SVP/GM) walked by and said hello. He came back around the corner and the conversation went something like this:
    • PK:Oh, I have some advice for you.
    • LCR: What's that?
    • PK: Breath.
    • LCR: What?
    • PK: I was talking to the guy who lead the media training and he was really impressed at how self aware the team was. He mentioned that you get overly excited and sometimes forget to breath. So I am reminding you to breath!
    • LCR: Thanks - I do forget to.
    • PK: Oh, and congratulations! Is it public information?
    • LCR: It is.
    • PK: Then CONGRATULATIONS!
This was a seemingly happy and innocuous conversation... until the all-hands later that afternoon.

The all hands (all 80 people in Quicken Health in 1 conference room and over the phone) started like it normally does, with the introduction of new team mates. A slide was brought up on the screen when someone over the phone asked if the document was being shared online, which it wasn't. Peter asked someone to come up and do that... and all of a sudden, he needed time to fill before he could move on, and I was directly in the line of sight in the second row.
    • PK: In other good news, we have another sort of delivery coming in March. (he looks at me.) March, right? (I turn red.) Lina is expecting.
    • Crowd: OOOhhhhh!!!!!!! Hah aha ha hah ahah ahah ah ah... YAY!!! (goes on, as I get redder.)
    • PK: Oh look, she's blushing. I was going to tell another story, but I am not going to.
    • PK: Oh, what the heck. Lina had media training this week where she told the group that sometimes she gets excited and forgets to breath.
    • Crowd: AHHA HAHA HAHAHAH
    • PK: And I have this vision of Lina in March, certainly excited, forgetting to breath!!
    • Crowd: ROOOAAAARRRRR AH AHAHAHAHAH. (Lina gets redder and redder.)
    • PK: So I think Lina certainly needs to practice breathing over the next couple of months.
    • PK: Lina, you're even redder. Turn around so everyone can see how red you are.
    • Phone guy: Yeah, get up and turn around because you won't be able to in a couple of months.
    • (Lina Turns)
    • Crowd: RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR. AHAH AH AH AHAH AH AHHA HAHA AHA AHAH AHA.
So that's how my entire organization found out I am pregnant. Though Kristy came up to me and apologized later, I know the team wasn't laughing at me, they were celebrating with me. The team really needs some good reasons to laugh, and if I can help facilitate that, then I am happy. Besides, I don't have to go around telling people anymore, so in a way, my life is a bit easier.

Money, Money, Money

That's the title of Chapter 4 in the "The Expectant Father". According to the book, by now I should start experiencing some concerns relating to finances. What the book doesn't know is that I'm ALWAYS thinking about finances - how best to secure a secure present and future. The chapter covers investment options, advice on saving for college, life insurance etc, etc, etc. Funny, I wasn't nearly as 'worried' until I read the paragraph on college tuition. With sweaty pits, chest pain and blurred vision, I set out to do a little research...here is some of what I found.
  • On average, tuition tends to increase about 8% per year. An 8% college inflation rate means that the cost of college doubles every nine years.

  • For a baby born today, this means that college costs will be more than three times current rates when the child matriculates in college.

  • Parents should expect to pay at least half to two-thirds of their children's college costs through a combination of savings, current income, and loans.
During my 3min lunch break, I spent a little time working through our portfolio - LLNW is up 18% since buying it a few weeks ago, TIVO is still floating around 50%, APPL helping out at 40% and BBBB is up over 150% since purchasing in '05. Today, much of our portfolio is in the green; so banking that Monday will have the pick of his/her college, its hopeful Lina and I will not have to eat rice and beans in order to afford it.

While researching the holdings of some of our mutual funds, I came across an article entitled "The 50 Best Stocks in the World". We already own a number of these, either as individual stocks or as holdings in mutual funds.

Have a read - see if you agree.

Now back to work and onto Chapter 5 "The Lights are On and Somebody's Home"; referring to Monday now becoming more active and able to hear what is going on outside.

Numb Fingertips

So I had the last test for the Combined Down Screening first thing this morning. I thought that the blood work was going to be like the first blood work, which was a finger prick and 5 drops. Unfortunately it turned out to be real blood work. Though I am not a fan of having blood drawn, I typically don't have a problem with it.

Typically.

I am not sure what happened, but when the nice (young) lady said, "okay, now take a deep breath" and stuck the needle in me, I got a huge fire that went from the midpoint of my arm straight into my fingertips. I thought that was odd. Then my fingertips of my middle and ring finger went numb. Once she was done, I almost fainted, and was sent on my way.

So here I am at the office, having started the day off poorly, and irritated that my fingertips are numb. Needless to say, I am not sunshiny and rosy this morning.... ah the things we do for our children.

In better news, we get the results of this blood work in a week, and then have another ultrasound on 10/17 where we can hopefully find out the boy/girl question. I can't wait for that!!

Worry Du Jour

So I used to believe that I was more or less a happy go lucky kind of person.... until I got knocked up. Now I find myself with an inexhaustible list of fears that do everything from distract to keep me awake. Sunday night's anxiety on the car we never bought is a good example of that one.

This week, I find myself concerned that I am not gaining enough weight. Maybe it's just that I can't feel Monday yet (other fear) and that I don't have another appointment for 2 more weeks to hear Monday, but I am all in a twine about not gaining enough weight. Upon research, it seems I am only about 2 lbs under what I should be, but percentage wise, it's like only 70% of where I should be. 2 weeks ago, according to the doctor's scale (all my clothes on after breakfast and trying to hydrate so I can pee) they had me at only gaining 2 pounds and they were not at all concerned.

All rationale thought tells me not to freak out.... I am just not so rational these days...

16 Week Update from Baby Center

How your baby's growing: At 4 1/2 inches long (head to bottom) and 3 1/2 ounces, your baby is about the size of an avocado. In the next three weeks, she'll go through a tremendous growth spurt, though, doubling her weight and adding inches to her length. Her lower limbs are much more developed now. Her head is more erect than it has been, and her eyes have moved toward the front of her head. Your baby's ears are close to their final position, too. Some of her more advanced body systems are working, including her circulatory system and urinary tract. Her heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, circulating her total blood volume through her body many times. (By the end of your pregnancy, this will increase to about 190 quarts.) The patterning of her scalp has begun, though her hair isn't recognizable yet. Although closed, her eyes are moving (slowly), and she's even started growing toenails.

Dreamer's Remorse

So I spent the better part of last night awake. I woke up at 12:57 and didn't get back to sleep until after 4:33, and then fitfully from 6 - 7:30 as the world woke up and the streets were cleaned. I tried all my tricks to get back to sleep, like reading (twice!) and biofeedback relaxation (which finally worked) but I couldn't stop thinking about the car. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am saver. This purchase will be the single largest purchase of anything for myself ever and I am finding myself totally unnerved. Cars are expensive! And when I finally found one that I liked, wouldn't you know it, it was outside of our "range" and clearly (now) outside of my comfort zone.

Tim and I spoke this morning and I told him of my angst. He looked at me a grinned (as much as you can when you first wake up) and said, but we didn't buy it -- and we don't have to!

Which is true... but we still need a car...

Monday Preparations - Phase I

Today (Sunday) Lina and I spent ALL day on Stevens Creek Blvd.; if you are familiar with the area, you already can guess what we were doing ALL day. For those who are less familiar with Steven Creek, it is the Peninsula's car dealer thoroughfare. Car heaven if you like that kind of stuff. Every make and model lined up, glistening in an assortment of colors - like two and a half ton jelly beans. Lina and I decided, finally after some 4 years talking about it, to upgrade to a new or newish vehicle. The reason - Monday of course. We feel it is time to put Lina in a larger and more safe vehicle...considering the size of the trucks these days, our Honda, though peppy an fun to drive, is no match against today's SUV if something were to go wrong. We've looked at EVERYTHING, except Subaru (ran out of time). At present, the Lexus GX 470 has taken the lead over Chevy's Tahoe and ... well, we don't really like anything else that much. Toyota had no Land Cruisers to look at, so we'll hold on deciding until we see the '08 or an '07 - if one can be found. Whatever we decide, it will be done with Monday and mother's safety in mind.

If anyone is interested in how the voting went to tip the scales in favor of the GX 470, here it is in vivid detail.

We rank the trucks based on size, options, warranty, cost, reliability and satisfaction ratings, residual value...add them all up, then Lina points at the one she wants to drive and thats the one that wins :) Between the two - hands down the Lexus is BEST and as usual, Lina and I are in complete agreement.

Most of the cats are out of the bag...

After thinking about it for a couple of weeks, and not having the time or energy to call all my favorite people, I just sent out a mass email to my friends about Monday. I am glad to have everyone find out, but am a little disappointed in myself that I couldn't call everyone individually.

Now I just have to tell the office, and we'll be completely out of the closet....

15 Week Update from Baby Center

How your baby's growing: At around 4 inches long, crown to rump, your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 ounces. He's busy inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, which will help develop the air sacs in his lungs. His legs are growing longer than his arms now, and he can move all his joints and limbs. That means his hands are more functional, too. Sweat glands are appearing, and although his eyelids are fused shut, he can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, he's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but his taste buds are beginning to form. And if you have an ultrasound, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or girl! (Don't be disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down the sex depends somewhat on how clear the picture is and the position of your baby during the ultrasound; he may be curled or turned in such a way as to keep you in suspense.)

All Torn Up

So I woke up yesterday all ready to go to work, showered, dressed, hair straightened, make up on, when I just started feeling terrible. I started getting super head achy and super light headed. Upon Dr. Reeth's recommendation, I went back to bed (and slept!) until about 1:00. That means over the last last 36 hours, I have spent more than 28 hours of it in bed. I am actually sleeping again, and whether or not the headache was the main attraction to get me in bed, I am pretty sure my body also needed a good amount of sleep so it took it.... truly, Monday kicked my butt yesterday.

I am back at work today, to a slew of emails & things to do, but I am certainly more rested, in less pain, and a bit more ready to tackle the day than I was yesterday.

On a tear...

I am not sure if it is nesting, or just total frustration with living among boxes, packing peanuts, (from wedding gifts...still) and not very good use of closet space, but this weekend I went on a total tear and literally tore up the first floor of our home. We have a closet under the stairs with boxes in it from our move (about 3 years ago) and our dining room was sprinkled with crystal goblets wrapped in bubble wrap from our wedding (at least 4 months there). Needless to say, when Tim asked me at breakfast on Saturday morning what I wanted to do that day, I said clean and throw!

And we did, and we did for hours. I am usually a pack rat, but if I was holding it on Saturday, I was throwing it out. I think we got rid of more than 6 large plastic bags of stuff, including packing material, and I was just getting started. Tim graciously came along for the ride with me as I frantically tore up everything on the first floor. About 4 hours into it, at its "darkest before dawn" stage, I looked out over a room you couldn't walk across and moaned to Tim "oh, what have I done?!?!" Well, all the kings horsemen and all the kings men helped me spend the rest of the weekend putting the house back together again.

I feel so much better now... but there is so much more to go!!!!

Crazy... 34 years ago my Mother was ending her "journey with her first" today when Pito was born. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY PITO!!!!)

This day is affecting me in a way that I wouldn't expect it to, now that I am an "expecting" parent. It's always funny to think of a parent in the past as they are in an identical situation. But more so that the journey of the first 9 months prenatally is really the tip of the iceberg. My folks see my brother practically weekly and talk often. They respect one another and rely on one another. Having gotten through the teen years, there is friendship and admiration. There has always been trust and love.

If we are so lucky to be in the same situation 34 years and 6 months from now, we'll truly be blessed.

Just the start....

Yesterday's lunch was disastrous! I had a grilled chicken sandwich on whole wheat bread with lettuce, tomatoes, and roasted red peppers (yummy -- and obviously not the problem). The problem arose when I attempted to eat the dang thing, and ended up "catching" about a third of the red peppers and half of the tomatoes on my lap... in 3 different waves!

I told Tim that I was just a mess, and he basically said "Get used to it, Monday is going to make us a lot messier than a roasted red pepper ever could." And he is right... isn't that depressing.

One of my mentors and friends Krissy, an incredibly smart and sophisticated suit-to-work lady with a 13 month old, told me that she'll often head into the office with mashed banana on her suit -- and not bat an eye! I guess life changes with a child, and you get to stop worrying about spots on your clothes. My problem is, I just can't tell if I am looking forward to that or not!! (The dirty part, not the kid part...)

Jiffy Lube

Monday is getting BIGGER and we know what that means! Its time for Tummy Bar! Directions are simple...

Directions: Apply with love (they actually felt the need to specify "Apply with love" in the containers directions - as if we'd apply it with disdain) to belly, hips and breast area. Repeat as often as you like.

I can tell you, good thing we applied that brick of wax with love! It takes a little warming up before its soft enough to smear about. I'm strongly considering heating it, pouring it into a spray bottle and misting Lina nightly before bed. Despite the care needed to apply it, its a great excuse to stop the day for a moment and bond. We will "repeat as often as we like".

14 Week Update from Baby Center

How your baby's growing: Head to bottom, your baby's 3 1/2 inches long — about the length of a lemon — and weighs about 1 1/2 ounces. Her body's growing faster than her head, which now sits upon a more well-defined neck. By the end of this week, her arms will have lengthened and will be in proportion to the rest of her body. (Her legs still have some growing to do, though.) She's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair all over her body (called lanugo). Her liver starts secreting bile this week, a sign that it's already functioning properly, and her spleen starts contributing to the production of red blood cells. She's also producing and discharging urine into the amniotic fluid, a normal process that she'll keep up until birth. You still can't feel your baby's movements, but her hands and feet (which are now half an inch long) are more flexible and active. Thanks to brain impulses, her little facial muscles are getting a workout as she squints, frowns, and grimaces. She can grasp now, too, and she may be able to suck her thumb.

Whoosha whoosha whoosha... all is good!

We had our 14 week visit today and it was a pretty quick and easy one. We got in, got weighed (I have gained 2 lbs so far... but that included a big breakfast!) and got ready. Dr. Sze ("z") came in and we had a quick conversation. She looked over the combined screening results, which are great, asked how I was doing, and if I had any questions.

The question that has been haunting me lately is "cheese?". Depending on where you read it
  • Hard cheese is okay, but soft cheese is not
  • Soft cheese is okay, as long as it is pasteurized
  • Soft cheese is okay, as long as it is pasteurized, unless it is a blue cheese (I am still unclear about feta)
The risk is the listeria bacteria which will get me sick, but seriously hurt Monday. That said, I can avoid blue cheese... though put this on the list for March 11!

Then we got to the fun part. Dr Z prodded my belly for a moment, then gelled up my tummy, and BOOM found MOnday's heart rate that then came through the room as the best sound you ever heard at a good heart rate. At this stage, babies are supposed to be between 120 and 160 and Monday came in at the perfectly average 140. NOT THAT I THINK MONDAY IS "AVERAGE" BY ANY MEANS, but when it comes to these things, average rocks.... so Monday rocks. Our next appointment with these guys will be on Oct 11 at 18 1/2 weeks.

In the meantime, I have more blood work to be done on 9/26. The next big milestone will be the anatomy ultrasound which I will schedule at my next blood work appointment so stay tuned!!!

Next time....

Next time we head up to Soda Springs, we'll have little Monday in tow! Tim and I went up to Soda Springs this past weekend to close down for the winter. Time lines have been accelerated this year with Hap, the caretaker, coping with unknown spots in his lungs, and the fact that the river may head underground in some locations as it is so dry.

We headed up on Friday night at about 5. It took us 1 hour to cross the San Mateo bridge (2 0f 3 lanes were closed) but then we flew from there. We got up there about 9:30 and played cards until Tim could shed the road and be ready for bed. We had quite an active evening as Tim awoke to 3 different deer heading up the trail by our bed -- what can I say, my sheepdog is a light sleeper when his protective mode is in play.

On Saturday, we potted around the house, closed out Pito & Melissa's room and did some work in the kitchen. With some direction from Nick, Tim cleared a 3 foot perimeter around the house with a weed eater which took him the better part of an hour. We took a lunch time nap and rested a bit again before dinner. Not too stressful of a day.

For dinner, we had everyone in camp over for leftovers. It was only Hap, Maria, and Nick, but we had a wonderful evening. I thawed pork tenderloin from the freezer, made a green salad, some corn OFF-the cob (only 4 ears for 5 people) and a quinoa salad with random fridge leftovers. Maria brought over a gazpacho and we (everyone but me) put a dent into the 3 cases of wine we had up there!

Nick, who we learned was called "Tidbit" in college for all his story telling, was true to his nickname and told stories into the night. Tim, true to his form, kept us laughing.

On Sunday we got up in a flourish. Anxious not to cook anything more (no more dishes to clean) we ate sausages off the grill for breakfast and frantically tried to close out of our room before Hap came by at 9:30 to help. Once he arrived, I lost Tim to doing manly things like putting up shutters, and had the rest of folding laundry, zipping up plastic bags (my fingers are beaten up today) and getting us out of the fridge and the kitchen. As I wrapped up that, we then started moving all the furniture into the main house and put up the remainder of the shutters. The men then took down the shade structure, and the house was put to bed. We left hap to deal with the rest of the water & the propane, but there wasn't much we could do to help. We took some quiet (weepy) time at the waterfall to say goodbye for the year before we headed down the hill to an Ikeda's tasty burger and shake.

All in all, it was a great weekend with family and friends (and a little work) ... and I guess I'll just have to wait another 9 months to do it again.

Speaking of 9 months...

Why does it always feel like I am waiting for something?!?!? Monday in 6 months, Soda in 9! Crikey!! But if you think about it, the conversion of the two will be fabulous! I am working on trying to figure out how much time out of the office I get for Maternity Leave. It is a herky-jerky sort of thing as you are combining various types of leaves in a daisy-chain. I don't have clarity at this point, but it looks like I will have all of June, and potentially all of July with job protection. That said, we could have some wonderful Reeth family-time up in the mountains next year, and that is certainly worth the wait!

As for this week, we have a standard Dr. appt on Wednesday morning. I think this is just to check in on me, hear Monday's heart, test for proteins and stress etc. I am not (YAY!!) too worried about this one, with all of the great news from last week.... but we'll certainly keep the blog up to date with anything we hear.

First time EVER!

Ok, for the first time EVER, Lina and I are going to post this message together!!! Hang onto your hats...Lina is (at this very moment) unaware that she will be participating. We're laying in bed, I with my nose to the computer screen, Lina with her nose to the pages of Time and Chance, a book she nabbed from our last trip to Soda Springs. I asked if it was recommended from Melissa - Lina says "No, think its Dad's, but he doesn't remember buying it." We've been laying here for about 30mins now, mostly sharing in the great news of the day. Monday is as healthy as one could hope for! We're two truly happy people and we're enjoying this moment together - swapping, "I adore yous" and "Kiss my faces". Lina was telling me about her email correspondence with Bebbie - Lina asked if Bebbie had seen the ultrasound of Monday...Bebbie replied in her quick-witted humorous way; (here is where I ask Lina to remind me what Bebbie said)"Why yes I did but I can't tell who she looks like." For the record, she/he has Lina's 5 head and my non-existent backside.

Sorry Pito, Lina just told me you tried to comment on the blog but couldn't without a gmail account. Guess you (and everyone else) will have to get one now ;)

Lina is winding down now. She has a big day of training tomorrow so its best if I let her be...with her eye's at half mass its time to shut down.

The gift of gab

So I haven't really posted since the weekend, but I have been so exhausted, I've hardly been able to get through the work day. Ughs.

This weekend was incredibly special to me. It was wonderful to be around so many Moms (Debbie, Jeannie, and Beth) and be out in the open about Monday. I was able to ask the new moms such important questions as "when did you tell work?", "when do I need to start thinking about child care?" and other mundane things that started keeping me awake at 2:00 in the morning.

I actually started to get over a little fear of the infant that I had while hanging out with Brennan, the 4 month old. He was incredibly well behaved and I even got to feed him and hold him. He didn't have a total melt down in my arms which I read as a good thing.

Melissa, my sister in law, has also been incredibly generous with information and advice that I seem to be seeking. It is great to have such a strong group of smart, working, savvy, and fabulous women to help me along the way.

Good news!

We just got (90 seconds ago -- just long enough for me to tell Tim and then to Open the blog) the results back from the first round of the Downs blood test.

To recap:
  • Based on my age, we were at 1 in 600
  • Based on the NT measurement, we were at 1 in 2,600
  • Based on the results of the blood work today, we are now at 1 in 10,000

We still have 1 more bit of blood work to go (on 9/26) before we complete the screening, but indications are good, and we are having a very happy morning right now. Go Monday, go!! Keep on being healthy!!!

13 Week Update from Baby Center

How your baby's growing: Your belly may soon be big enough to announce to the world that you're expecting, but your baby is still tiny. In fact, he's only about 3 inches long crown to rump — roughly the size of a jumbo shrimp — and weighs just about an ounce. Despite the small proportions, there's a fully formed baby inside your womb now. Much more proportional than it was a few weeks ago, his head is now only about a third the size of his body. His tiny, unique fingerprints are already in place. His kidneys and urinary tract are functional, and he's starting to urinate out the amniotic fluid he's been swallowing. As you start your second trimester, most of your baby's critical development will be completed, and your odds of miscarriage will drop considerably.

Monday's First Portrait

Look what Lina and I made!!!!

If you look closely, it looks as though Monday is saluting - look close and you can see 5 little finger tips.

Labor Day Weekend

"Labor Day" - A fitting name given all the baby talk that occurred this weekend. Lina, Monday and I spent the Labor Day weekend in Soda Springs with family and friends. In short...it was great!

Beth, David and little 4mo. old Brennan came in Friday evening and stayed thru Monday mid-morning. It was good to have Brennan there as sort of a test bed for mothering...Lina coddled, fed, burped and while not directly sitting on the receiving end, witnessed much upchucking of curdled milk. *blehk*. "They" say its not nearly as disgusting when its your child...let's hope "They" are correct.

Kevin, Jeannie, Cody and Kylie all showed up for Saturday and most of Sunday. We had fun getting advice from Kevin and Jeannie, hearing their point of view on the first few years and witnessing their never ending patience with their kids. We are so impressed with how Kevin and Jeannie work with their kids. By my measure, the kids are always behaving...a few melt downs when tired, but all in all perfect little people.

The Grand Reeths showed up Sunday morning and stayed through until Monday afternoon. This time there was far less water in the meadow and more time to decompress and take in the beauty of Soda Springs. They walked around camp and met a few of the extended family. Patsy and Mom exchanged phone numbers as they are almost neighbors. Patsy is so warm its no surprise that she has reached out and welcomed my parents so completely. Its appreciated by all.

The weekend was full of fantastic food, conversation and activity. Pa'__(Reeth)__ gets the award for most emotional moment when he read an excerpt from "How to Win Friends and Influence People"...it was a sweet and tender moment. I blame my tears on a big heart and three glasses of wine, Lina blames hers on mine and Beth and David likely think we're all weird. It seems my father can't come to Soda Springs without getting water gushing some how or another.
