The promises

Dear Miles-

I want to promise you so many things:

• - That you'll always be happy
• - That you'll always be healthy
• - That we'll live forever to take care of you
• - That you'll laugh more than you'll cry
• - That we won't make any mistakes you'll hate us for
• - That we won't lose our patience, get angry and yell
  

But the only thing I can promise you is that you will be loved with all that we have and more: we'll love you simply for opening up your eyes every morning. You've already expanded what we believed our hearts could take. To us, you are perfect, and we thank you for joining us in our journey through life. We didn't know we were incomplete until we met you.
