Miles is the best little boy ever.
But that is besides the point.
On Saturday morning, some new friends came over for brunch. She is 6 months pregnant and we talked a lot about pregnancy and the first year of childhood. Miles was asleep when they arrived, but was charming once he woke up. The clouds were closing in on Saturday morning, so we took the opportunity to eat on our deck. Miles played around our knees and we had a lovely visit.
On Saturday afternoon, Grandma and Grandpa Reeth came in from Reno where they were hosting cousins Cody and Kylie for the week. Kevin and Jeannie met them at our house to reclaim their children. Miles is totally obsessed with his cousins. They played great with him, Kylie was very attentive to everything Miles and Cody was great at building up blocks that Miles could topple over.
After they left, we took Miles out for a walk and a visit at the park. We got him back on the swings and he had a blast. He also is now at the stage where he can start playing on the playground apparatuses like the train. He cruised throughout it, moving from one car to another. He loved looking out the windows at the 4 of us, and played his own version of peekabo.
The weather came in on Saturday afternoon, and we were house-bound after that. Sunday was a lazy day with the grandparents - which made is super exciting for Miles. I think it it wonderful that he has so many people that are more than happy to get down on the floor and crawl after him. He loves the games, the attention, and mostly the love. He is free with his kisses and just lights up when he sees them.
