Zoo Part 2

I also really liked this one. At the beginning, what you can't see on film, is that Kiley is between her parents holding their hands who are swinging her as they walked. Every time she was swung, Miles stopped and wanted me and Cody to swing him. The rest speaks for itself.

Miles goes to the zoo

On a gorgeous - but BLUSTERY - Saturday, we took Miles up to the San Francisco zoo for the afternoon. We met Miles' cousins up there, and as fun as the animals were (and they were), watching the cousins all hang out was the highlight. Cody and Kiley literally took Miles under their wings and guided him around the zoo: Miles come look at this, Miles come over here, Miles, Miles, Miles!!! They were both incredibly warm and sweet to our little boy and we are looking forward to raising our toe-heads together. Sometimes it makes me sad that Owen and Mary are so far away, but I am thrilled that Miles gets to hang out Cody and Kiley!!

...to the tune of "London Bridge"

Lina's pants are falling down, falling down, falling down
Lina's pants are falling down,
My it's drafty.

I don't fit anything these days. My pre-pregger shirts are obscene, but my maternity wear is tent-like. I am totally out of my non-maternity pants, but my maternity pants are too loose. I spend my days walking around with my cuffs dragging on the floor and a hand on my rib cage (not waist!) trying to keep my pants on, while my shirt billows in the wind.

Good times.

"Sick Day" with Dad

After a not-great night and a snotty morning, we kept Miles home from daycare today to have a guys day with Dad. The two of them did some errands, hung out at the library and the park and generally enjoyed each others company. It wasn't until Miles went nuts with the maracas that Tim started to suspect that Miles wasn't all that sick and could have gone to daycare. Needless to say, he will be going tomorrow.

Just another day

This weekend was more or less pretty subdued. Miles had a terrible cough on Friday night so we spent a pretty quiet weekend together. It was nice for all of us to relax and catch up on sleep - and it is in these moments where are daily lives as a family comes to life. There isn't anything super special about this video clip - just a wonderful little boy full of personality with the complete and undivided devotion of both of his parents.

Its Official -

Lina had her 20week checkup & ultrasound where we were told Twosday's gender. We're so excited by the news that Miles will have a little sister. We also learned that Twosday was completely healthy and everything looks great. We were told she has a 'gorgeous' aortic arch; so says the doctor, so you have to believe it.

Needless to say we would be happy if Twosday was either a boy or girl. I actually felt it would be improbable for us to go boy then girl - simply because Kevin (my older brother) and Pito (Lina's older brother) both went boy then girl with their children. Based on that, thought the odds would be against us.

Lina reminded me of a prediction we received by a Gypsy outside of the Alhambra in Granada - that we would have "a strong handsome boy, followed by a beautiful girl". As honeymooners we giggled it off, not yet thinking of having kids - we did tip her however, so not to jinx us. Good thing!

So now we start preparing for her arrival and all that it entails. We already have a strong front runner for a first name. Not to be shared at this time.

Miles Faces the Camera

As I have mentioned, life is changing quickly for our Mr. MR. While his language is exploding, so is his personality and his expressions.

He has taken to mimicking us and mirroring our facial expressions. These clips are a combination of his Dad's face looking oddly at him when he misbehaves, and the long lost "O" face from his infancy. Either way - it is really wonderful watching our little personality emerge.
