TJPRJR

Its as official as it can be at this stage...our little Monday is a BOY - a little Timothy John-Patrick Reeth Jr. (TJPRJR), though that will likely not be the final name. That said we are now on the hunt for boy names, so all reading, please feel free to comment on this posting with names you like.

Monday is perfectly healthy!!!! Two arms, two hands, two legs, two feet and - of course...two little boy marbles. His heart is in great condition and he is very active. Lina and I are so happy and relieved that Monday is doing great.

Its an interesting emotion we're feeling; we spent some time talking about how we now feel after learning the sex. Its mixed. We were both equally happy with either a boy or girl - we were aiming for healthy. While we're completely happy and excited there is this small feeling of sadness for both of us...not because its a boy INSTEAD of a girl, but that part of the experience thus far has been the day dreaming of both. Half of our time we'd speak about Monday as a he and the other half as a she. In the baby clothing shops, we'd browse miniature sport coats and corduroys, while in the same session a tutu would be snatched from the rack and we'd laugh at the thought of a girl parading down the Ave. Lina articulated, as she always does, what we believe is the cause of whatever bit of sadness we may be feeling from knowing. Its that half of our day dreaming is now gone, that Monday had to be one or the other and that not knowing was fun and enabled us to visualize a much larger set of experiences.

So now we know what perhaps others instinctively knew for some time. Pito & Melissa for instance sent us a "King of Hearts" onesy (sp?) when they first heard the news and by the latest images from the Ultrasound, our little "handsome pants" (thanks Lina) will turn out to be a real heart breaker. Check him out!

He's such a handsome little man.

More images and videos to come!

Hm, may I throw out the name Philip as a wonderful first name .... :-) In all seriousness, buy the name books now and start getting comfortable with different names. Everyone is different, but I feel like we tried on names for weeks / months until we got comfortable with the one we chose. A fun process! -Pito
